Although you won't get to actually feed a raptor unless you become a MRCC volunteer,
you can help with the cost of feeding them.
Each Mouse we buy costs 70 cents. Sounds cheap; however, we feed up to 50 mice a
day to the ambassador and rehabilitation birds. That's 350 mice a week...18,200 mice a
year, That brings our cost to approximately $12,740 a year! Please help feed the raptors
by donating to MRCC.
You can also donate game meat, which is also fed to the raptors. We only feed the birds
wild game meat, so no beef, lamb, or poultry. If you have any questions as to whether or
not the meat donation is acceptable, please call MRCC at 406-585-1211.
